Get Involved

There are many ways that you can get involved. You can choose to donate, attend social activities, or join a committee.

Donate

A donation to NOAGL will help to ensure the growth and success of league programs. Big or small, one-time or annual – all donations are impactful. $35 is the cost of an On-Sets or Equations game, and these games can last for decades. Help spread Academic Games in the Greater New Orleans area by making a tax-deductible donation today.

Checks should be made out to “NOAGL” and mailed to:

Committees

The Alumni Committee is looking for volunteers to support our growing outreach efforts. We have three active subcommittees: Activities, Newsletter, and Development.

Activities Committee. This committee organizes and hosts alumni social events.  Some events will be tailored specifically for our younger alumni. Individuals with a knack for planning events should contact the Activities Committee Chairman, Yanna Gamble.

Development Committee. This committee is responsible for engaging our alumni through effective fundraising activities, like Project Give a Game. Contact Uday Nandipati to get involved.  The Development Committee is currently coordinating:

  • Project Give a Game allows alumni to leave a lasting legacy. Alumni donate the cost of a game ($35) to NOAGL. All donations are used to purchase Equations and On-Sets games and other materials for new Academic Games programs.
  • Our Booster Team connects alumni and parents to fundraise within the league. Funds raised offset National Tournament costs for students “in need” and support league programs.

Newsletter Committee. Communicating to our membership is an important way to engage our alumni. The Newsletter Committee is looking to regularly publish e-newsletters to keep our alumni informed. If you’d like to assist, contact Heidi Charters.
